  • description

  • Carlos Domenech's fascination with architecture and construction began when he started to document some of the construction sites in sections of the port area of Miami. The photographer was intrigued by the features peculiar to these areas: the huge materials and machinery, the contrast between buzzing activity in the daytime and a sense of abandonment at night, and the general atmosphere of unending change. He went on to pursue this interest, photographing different construction sites across the world, and this book is the result. Construcciones is an enchanting exploration of an often overlooked aspect of architecture: the construction process itself.
