  • Miami – One hundred The houses featured in this book represent distinctive contemporary currents in the architecture of the pampas. They are presented here for the first time as a coherent body of work that derives its traits from the pampas’ unique culture and geography • The book documents seminal buildings that have already left a mark in the field such as the house on the Jose Ignacio coast, Uruguay (Mathias Klotz) and the Estancia Malabrigo in Entre Ríos (Jacques Bedel). It is also dedicated to less well-known but no less innovative works that merit equal attention such as the house in Mar Azul (BAK arquitectos) and the house in the hilly landscape of Cordoba (Cristián Nanzer) • Most importantly this thoughtfully curated collection makes a claim for these buildings, which share a number of formal, structural and iconographic traits, to be considered together as making adistinct and important contribution to the current architectural scene.
