  • Alan Faena is the founder and president of Faena Group, a business that specializes in the creation of unique cultural environments, experiences, and socially responsible and breathtaking architectural projects. With the development of his most well-known real estate development, Faena Buenos Aires, located on a tract of formerly abandoned property on the docks of Puerto Madero, was transformed into the city’s most prosperous and successful pieces of real estate; because of this, Faena has gained critical acclaim as not only an innovative developer, but a curator of diverse neighborhood programs and interactions that reach far beyond the project site. His most recent undertaking, Faena Miami Beach, is no exception. Faena Miami Beach encompasses six blocks of white sandy coastline and aims to be the heart of the city, a node for creativity, through a perfect mix of art, architecture, nature, and technology. Brandon Hau (Foster + Partners), Rem Koolhaas (OMA), Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, Raymond Jungles, and Studio Jobs, collaborated with Faena Group (Faena Collaboratory) to bring Faena Miami Beach a socially varied plan of arts, shopping, living, and outdoor spaces. Though this project is still being built, the result has been something of a reverie. In this book, commentary from the teams of celebrated architects and artisans about Faena’s ability to curate impeccable, almost utopic, realities through collaboration, community, and culture, is paired with striking images and graphics from Faena Miami Beach.
